Default recurring setting by service
It would be great to have a default recurring setting by service. That way whether the student books online or the center schedules it for the student, if they pick a service that is weekly recurring (like tutoring and academic coaching meetings), it will automatically schedule it as recurring through the end of the semester. Right now, we have it limited so that if students book online for these services, they can only see a week out and will schedule a one-time appointment.
The center then must run reports to see which students booked online for a one-time appointment and we have to schedule them for the rest of the semester for that session. We do it this way when we allow students to see all appointments in the future they weren’t scheduling correctly, starting on the correct week, or picking the correct recurring appointment option. We didn’t know if the student forgot to pick the recurring option, they wanted a one-time appointment, or if they chose an appointment in the future if they thought they were picking the current week and didn’t notice… in other words, it was a hot mess.
Since we know that all our tutoring and academic coaching is going to be weekly, recurring sessions, it would be helpful and time-saving to have a default recurring setting tied to those services and it automatically schedules all appointments for the whole semester.
