Rescheduling-improve & clarify student experience to remove "invalid" message
Appointment rescheduling-when students reschedule their appointments, they are offered the ability to change the start time and the duration but for Centers with fixed start times and durations, the option is still there and students can go through the whole process, only to see "invalid" at the end of rescheduling. This can be confusing and frustrating for students. The option should be removed so when students go to reschedule, they can only choose an existing fixed appointment time and duration for those Centers that have fixed start times and duration.
Reviewing
At this time, the behavior occurs because the rescheduling tool utilizes an older scheduling workflow that presents available options before validating all center-specific scheduling restrictions. As a result, students may encounter limitations later in the process rather than being guided immediately to only valid appointment options. I can understand why this may be frustrating. As a workaround, administrators can disable appointment rescheduling within the appointment settings. When rescheduling is disabled, students who need to change an appointment would instead cancel their existing appointment and schedule a new one, this would mean they would use the new appointment scheduler, ensuring that only allows valid appointment times and durations during the scheduling workflow. We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. Your feedback highlights an opportunity to improve the rescheduling experience and better align it with center scheduling rules so students are only presented with valid options from the outset.
